Faster time to first pixel

Experience even better interactive rendering with faster time to first pixel, thanks to optimizations in rendering scatter and texture-heavy scenes. Scene data upload to GPU and geometry compilation are also optimized for speed.

Support for Caustics

V-Ray GPU now supports Caustics, enabling realistic reflections and refractions in both production and interactive rendering. With a new Caustics solver based on Photon Mapping, optimized to fully utilize GPU hardware, V-Ray GPU delivers significantly faster results compared to CPU rendering.

Out-of-core textures

Render texture-heavy scenes even more efficiently with a new implementation of out-of-core textures. Add incredible detail to your scenes without sacrificing shading quality, as textures are now only limited by RAM.

*V-Ray 7 is currently available for V-Ray for 3ds Max. It’s coming soon to other integrations as well.

Faster animation rendering

Render image sequences up to 4x faster with V-Ray GPU. V-Ray now caches bitmaps between animation frames, eliminating the need for reloads, leading to a substantial increase in rendering speed.

Compressed textures mode

Rendering texture-heavy scenes is now much more memory-efficient. On average, V-Ray GPU uses 50% less GPU memory on assets with 4K textures. Add incredible detail to your scenes without sacrificing shading quality.

V-Ray Clipper Mesh mode

Render complex cutaways and sections using any mesh object. In just a few clicks, you can also animate the clipper and achieve complex effects that would otherwise take a lot of time to create with Boolean operators.

New V-Ray Material Translucency

Easily create photorealistic skin, plastic, wax, and more, using the updated V-Ray Material. Thanks to a new algorithm, translucent objects now render up to 2x faster. Low-poly translucent objects also render more smoothly.

Render Element support through refractive surfaces

Gain post-production control over glass objects and materials. V-Ray GPU now also supports Material ID, Cryptomatte, and Multimatte render elements through refractive surfaces.

Get the job done faster, and easier than ever before.

Streamlined Trace Depth workflow

With a single click, you can now override Reflection and Refraction trace depth for all materials in your scene thanks to a new, streamlined workflow. This new control works for both interactive and production rendering.

New GPU Device Selector

Set render priority per device, or assign rendering and denoising to different GPUs to double interactive performance with the new device selector.
