Unreal native materials now supported in V-Ray for Unreal, plus viewport rendering, memory and speed optimizations, and compatibility with Unreal Engine 4.22.

We’ve just updated V-Ray for Unreal, our revolutionary renderer which gives you the best of real-time and ray tracing. This update will boost your pipeline with Unreal materials support and compatibility with Unreal Engine 4.22.

New and improved features include:

  • Support for native materials
    Render and bake any scenes created with V-Ray and/or Unreal native materials, even if you use Datasmith to import your assets to Unreal.
     
  • Viewport rendering
    Fine-tune lights and materials and instantly view results directly in the Unreal viewport.
     
  • Memory and speed optimizations
    This update features efficient memory handling allowing you to work with large data sets and heavy scenes comprised of millions of polygons.
     
  • Unreal Engine 4.22 support
    V-Ray for Unreal now supports the latest version of Unreal Engine.
