If you haven't watched the first series then welcome to the world of The Wire, one of the best TV shows ever made. If you have just finished Series 1 then you'll now want to find out what happens to Baltimore's finest, as well as Baltimore's most wanted! Series 2 revolves around the Baltimore Docks and the containers that come in on a daily basis. Police interest begins when a container containing dead bodies is found and the they attempt to piece together how they came to be there. Over the first few episodes the plot pans out and the main characters from the first series come back into our lives as the links to the bodies in the container leads us to new, yet familiar, territory.

Series 2 delves deeper than Series 1 on a human level as the need to survive and put food on the table is explored even further. Desperate people can go to desperate measures to make a living and look after their families, and just like the first series the lines between good and bad become blurred. New, and equally as strong, characters are introduced as the series progresses, and we watch hard working people who are looking to make a buck get deeper and deeper into trouble. It is compelling viewing with its superb script and exceptional performances. It is hard to believe, but Series 2 better than the first series!
