Description
Twelve years in the making, these are the final recordings from one of Country Music’s all-time greats, initially a collaboration with - and now completed by - his son Shooter (himself a recording artist of note, and the man who played his dad in ‘Walk The Line’) with contributions from Lee Ann Womack and Waylon’s wife and 70’s country hitmaker Jessi Colter. - Alas, this only features 8 tracks (hence the low-price) but it’s all killer, no-filler. Includes rocking new readings of Waylon signature tunes including ‘Ain’t Living Long Like This’, ‘Lonesome On’ry & Mean’ & ‘Waymore’S Blues’ as well as great versions of Cream’s ‘White Room’, Neil Young’s ‘Are You Ready For The Country?’, a great revamp of an old Waylon album track now called ‘Outlaw Shit’ and a great Waylon/Shooter co-write called ‘I Found The Body’.
