Description
An album off of the small Australian label Larrikin. This one deals almost exclusively with the life of the sheep shearer. The music is relatively basic folk song work in general, sometimes reminiscent of basic Irish, sometimes English, sometimes Appalachian, always Australian. While the subject matter is a bit restrictive for much of a working, the performers do their part well. It's primarily up to the listener to decide if it's worth going in for an hour of rousing sheep-shearing music. Most probably won't be, but the few die-hard folk listeners out there who wouldn't hate it might actually like it quite a bit. ~ Adam Greenberg, AMG
