This album features premier violinist Giuliano Carmignola performing previously unrecorded Vivaldi Concertos. All five Vivaldi Concertos on this CD are world-premiere recordings. Carmignola and the Venice Baroque Orchestra are pioneers in this repertoire.

These Violin Concertos are unknown masterpieces from Torino's national library that were specially selected for Carmignola by Vivaldi scholars. The works span two decades and showcase Vivaldi's unique phrasing and ornamentation as well as Carmignola's exceptional technique and excellence in performing 18th-century repertoire.

This is Giuliano Carmignola's follow-up to his highly acclaimed Archiv Produk¬tion debut with Andrea Marcon and the Venice Baroque Orchestra. Since its release in 2005, Carmignola's debut album has already shipped 25,000 units worldwide despite little touring or promotional support, a clear indication of the vast potential for this artist and repertoire.
