Description
This Is My Truth Tell Me Yours is the follow up to the Manic's triple platinum, double brit winning, "Everything Must Go'. Bassist Nicky Wire frames the new music within the band's output as 'the album with the most sense of purity, and the most sense of beauty'. The first single, "If You Tolerate This Your Children Will Be Next", again illustrates the band's consistently bold style. This is realised throughout the new album with provoking lyrics and arguments that are largely unaired in music. James Dean Bradfield has been supplementing his guitar parts with other instruments such as melodica, sitar and a wurlitzer organ, lyrics throughout the album are by Nicky Wire, while drummer Sean Moore has been adding his technical and academic savvy to the record. "This Is My Truth Tell Me Yours" is a 13 track album, and once again old producer cohorts such as Dave Eringa and Mike Hedges are involved : the latter's creative string arrangements were a distinctive element on the band's previous album, "Everything Must Go". "This Is My Truth Tell Me Yours" will build on the success of its predecessor "Everything Must Go" an album which produced four UK Top Ten Hits, and enabled the Manic Street Preachers to make the move from being a cult band in Britain to a universally popular one. The Manic Street Preachers are one of the most intelligent and demanding acts in Britain today, still examining the soul of society, stimulating thought and making extraordinary music.
