BUCK 65

So welcome to Buck 65.with a production palate that calls on the scope and fluidity of Dj Shadow, the jazz of Mile Davies and the soundscapes of CLOUDDEAD, think somewhere between EL-P (but less harsh) and Rjd2 (but darker) and you might be getting close to the abstract hip hop beauty that is Buck 65.

Whilst DJ Shadow decorates beats with words, Buck 65 underpins words with beats and it is in his bittersweet world equal parts Tom Waits, Charles Bukowski and Johnny Cash, that the tales of the everyday are combined with Buck 65's own unique delivery.

Buck 65's last album "Square" was four approximately 15 minute musical segments, each containing a number of individual but untitled songs that seduced with its beautiful melodies, throbbing basslines, lo-fi beats and lyrical intrigue. "Square" received props and **** reviews from the likes of URB, Spin, Jockey Slut, Careless Talk Costs Lives, Wire, Q Magazine, NME, Mixmag the list goes on.

Buck 65's follow up "Talkin Honky Blues' was recorded over a year in Paris and carries with it the intensity and complexity of a hip-hop record revealing itself in layers 'a walk in the woods' is the formal introduction enjoy.

It features 18 new tracks and is enhanced with interview footage of Buck 65. It also contains a very special multimedia element called "Buck A Month Club". Consumers of the album will have access to a secured website and on a monthly basis will be able to download a never before released track.
