Soul diva Patti LaBelle hosts this historic reunion of more than 18 classic recording artists of the 70s, giving us a course in Groove 101, with booty-quaking lessons from the incomparable Commodores ("Brick House"), Earl Young’s Trammps ("Disco Inferno") and Sister Sledge ("We Are Family"). Producer T. J. Lubinsky spent two years searching out stars for the television special, flying George (“Rock Your Baby”) McCrae in from the Netherlands, finding Yvonne (“If I Can’t Have You") Elliman retired in Hawaii and recording the Stylistics (“You Make Me Feel Brand New,” “Betcha by Golly Wow”) on location in Waymouth, England.
