Since their debut in June 2002, Southern California's ATREYU have crept through the world of metal, emo, and hardcore, Recruiting from all areas to build a strong and rabid following. Their album "Suicide Notes and Butterfly Kisses" zig zags Through the these boundaries to draw on a wide audience, calling to formation a battalion of a fan base that has swelled to over 80,000. With new recruits enlisting at over 1,000 per week, their live shows have become the new standard for devoted Fans of their unique brand of metal-emo-core.
Now that radio and MTV have finally heeded the call, where consistent play has driven ATREYU above the underground, Threatening the mainstreams of rock. But even as "Suicide Notes and Butterfly Kisses" sails higher, the band is just setting The stage for their sophomore attack. In June of this year, ATREYU will release the follow up to this album, "The Curse". produced by GGGarth (RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE, KITTIE, FROM AUTUMN TO ASHES, CHEVELLE).
