Director Mann (RAW DEAL) helms this gritty noir about Nora Goodrich, a scientist deeply dedicated to her research in anaesthetics. Her pioneering work prompts some jealous rage in one of her colleagues, who sabotages one of Nora's experiments, causing a horrible accident that results in the disfiguring of Nora's face. Nora succeeds in taking on a new identity, surgically alters her own face, and sets out to extract revenge on the colleague who disfigured her.
