PARKINSON, DOUG

In 2004 Doug, together with his band Bill Risby-piano, Gordon Rytmeister-drums, Leon Gaer-bass, and David Longo-guitar, entered the studio to record an album, his first for many years. The result is a timeless album of beautiful Somewhere After Midnight songs composed by the world's best, including You Don't Know Me, The Look of Love, Somewhere, At Last, Nature Boy, My Love and The Moon's A Harsh Mistress. It is difficult to describe the unique style of the album, somewhere within soul/jazz perhaps, sung by a man with an amazing gift we have grown up with loved and admired for over four decades.
