In 1979, 1960s chart champions THE SEARCHERS entered the famed Rockfield Studio in Wales to begin a series of legendary sessions which saw their classic pop harmony sound matched with some of the finest power-pop compositions of the era, as well as cult rock writers. This 23-track, 2-for-1 CD features their two Sire LPs plus bonus tracks from singles and international configurations of the albums. The dynamic material they surge through comes from Tom Petty, John Hiatt, Alex Chilton, Bob Dylan, Moon Martin, John Fogerty, Mickey Jupp and The Records. Overlooked at the time, these albums fair shimmer under the spotlight of rediscovery.
