BEGINNINGS: THE LOST TAPES 1988-1991 collects ten of Tupac Shakur's early, rarely-heard recordings. Before he got down with the Digital Underground, Tupac was flowing at the speed of rap over hyped-up, scratch-heavy tracks evocative of the true-school era in which they were recorded. Pac's voice is unmistakable, but his old-school rhyme style and mild lyrical content might leave some fans scratching their heads.
