THORPE, BILLY

Billy Thorpe is an Australian rock legend, but in 1963 he was a 17 year old singer fresh out of Brisbane, who arrived in Sydney's Kings Cross ready to crack the big time. Through his eyes we see the Cross at a unique moment in its history, and Australia on the threshold of an astonishing new wave of youth culture.
