Melbourne four-piece Art of Fighting release 'Second Storey', the eagerly awaited follow-up to 2001's ARIA award winning 'Wires', on August 16th though Trifekta Records. Hailed by critics as an instant classic, 'Wires' went some way to encapsulating the sprawling, introspective and sophisticated sound the band was rapidly becoming known for.

Art of Fighting have gained a strong, loyal fanbase around the country, not only from their records, but their live show and extensive touring. The band have shared the stage with acts such as Stephen Malkmus, Mogwai, Catpower, Smog, Josh Rouse, The Go-Betweens and Múm. They also played numerous festivals including Homebake and the Perth International Festival.

'Second Storey' was recorded with producer Tim Whitten (Clouds, The Necks, The Go-Betweens, Gersey, Powderfinger). 'Second Storey' is an album as brave in lyrical candour as it is adventurous in sound. It signals the return of a vital Australian band at their creative best.
