Following on from the their fellow New Zealand luminaries such as Salmonella Dub, Shapeshifter and Ft Freddy's Drop, the next NZ set to take Australia by storm are Katchafire.

Formed in 1997, named after a Bob Marley album, and playing that brand of Dub/Reggae that is massively popular over the 'ditch', Katchafire have built their formidable reputation on the back of an insane touring schedule. They currently play 3-4 nights a week in NZ as well as touring around the world to countries as varied as the U.K, Europe, Hawaii, mainland U.S.A, Guam and of course Australia.

They have released three albums in their home country: Revival (2003) which featured the highest selling NZ single of 2003, Slow Burning (2005) and Say What You're Thinking.
