He spent his time travelling the world, working with as many songwriters as he could. The first result is the stunning new single, Run To Me, one of 2004's most beautiful songs.
Emmanuel wrote Run To Me in Sweden with hit-maker Arnthor Birgisson, who has worked with Jessica Simpson, Ricky Martin, Jennifer Lopez and Janet Jackson. "I'd had the lyrics for a while," Emmanuel explains, "it was something I'd been wanting to express for a long time."
"It's a very emotional song, about reassuring someone you love that you'll always be there for them, through good times and bad. It's about not being afraid to show your emotions, and always speaking the truth."
Run To Me's B-side, Touching Wood, shows another side to Emmanuel - playful, with mention of Jerry Springer and Brooke Shields.
