Description
In the spring of 1943, on a street called Rosenstrasse in Berlin, hundreds of women achieved the impossible through peaceful protest. Staring down the barrel of machine guns, they demonstrated against the depression of their Jewish husbands who were imprisoned by the Nazis in the Jewish Welfare Office on Rosenstrasse. The women of Rosenstrasse put their lives on the line to free their husbands. Based on true events, renowned German filmmaker Margarethe von Trotta brings to life this incredible story of courage and determination.
