Description
After appearing on television and radio alongside the rest of his family,
Ricky Nelson launched a solo singing career in 1957, using the Ozzie & Harriet television series as something of a promotional vehicle. Thereafter a musical number was included at the end of each episode, further enhancing Ricky's career.
He was to enjoy thirty Top 40 hits between 1957 and 1962, making him one of the most successful recording artists of the era (the one artist who could better this tally was Elvis Presley, who Ricky fashioned his musical style on).
This album, originally released in 1957, was a number one smash on the American charts, topping the charts for two weeks at the start of 1958.
