Sir Benjamin Dean, Grand Master of Knights Templar. Most Eminent Sir,? As your Representative near the States of Vermont and New York, I have endeavored to discharge the duties of the trust with ray best zeal, not only for your sake, but because of the great pleasure and honor I have received at my several visits. Twice I have been present at the annual Conclaves of Vermont, and three times at those of New York, and have, on each occasion, advised with the brethren, installed their officers, and enjoyed their hospitality. The more intimately I mingle with the brethren, the more fully I become impressed with the glorious mission of our valiant and magnanimous Order and its steady onward march. Within the lines of my inspection the utmost harmony prevails, and the national body has no firmer or more zealous supporters than are to be found in the gallant Knights of Vermont and New York. Where all is in such a gratifying state, details would be superfluous, and I may therefore congratulate you that in closing our triennial term, our ways are ways of pleasantness and all her paths are peace.
