Description
British trip-hop ensemble Portishead doesn't perform often in the United States, but when they do, they strive to make it a special occasion, and that was certainly the case for the group's 1997 performance at the {Roseland Ballroom in New York City. At {Roseland, Portishead's guitars, drums, and turntables were joined on-stage by a 35-piece orchestra, and Portishead: Roseland NYC is a video document of that concert, with the group performing 15 songs from their first two albums. Selections include "Sour Times," "Humming," "Cowboys," "Only You," and "Western Eyes." Mark Deming.
