Over 4,000 magical, intriguing and funny fairytales were sent in by children all over Australia as part of the ABC TV Hans Christian Andersen Fairytaler Competition. But it was the winning entry, The Perfect Princess written by Taeyn that stood out to judges Nick Hardcastle (Creature Features, Roller Coaster), June Smith (Australian Children's Council) and Consul General Jorgen Molligaard Kristensen (Royal Danish Consulate). This original, funny collection of fairytales, some old-fashioned, some modern, features the winner and the shortlisted stories. Illustrated by the children themselves, this will be a treasured collection of fairy tales that children can relate to and parents will enjoy reading.
