ED RUSH and OPTICAL are two of the best known DJ / Producers in the drum & bass scene and are well established in the dance music scene as a whole.
Even before they linked up to create the now legendary VIRUS LABEL, they had made quite a name for themselves. Whilst Optical was engineering for GROOVERIDER, GOLDIE and JUMPING JACK FROST; Ed Rush was releasing material for seminal labels such as NO-UTURN and PROTOTYPE.
Debut album ‘Wormhole’ is widely regarded as the best drum & bass album of all time.
With this mix Ed Rush and Optical have put together a killer selection of dancefloor smashers. Featuring heavyweight tracks from DILLINJA, J-MAJIK, SS, NIGHTBREED, PENDULUM, DRUMSOUND & SIMON BASSLINE SMITH and many more big-hitters this is d&b at its finest. Not a mix for the faint-hearted, this mix represents the proper rave vibes of many a killer club night.
The DVD is no minor ‘bonus’ disc; this is a fully fledged feature length documentary about this duo, featuring tour diary footage, exclusively shot DJ sets around the world, special indepth interviews with the duo, plus studio tips with the production don himself – OPTICAL.
