Description
Coinciding with the DYLAN album released in October we are releasing a new DVD focusing on
Bob Dylan at the Newport Folk Festival 63-65. This tremendous program directed by Oscar award winner
Murray Lerner shows Dylan's in a pivotal phase of his career.
A major landmark in contemporary music, Dylan's amplified performance in '65 caused huge controversy. Since '63 he had developed as a writer and musician and needed to push his sound forwards, but the audience wanted the acoustic Dylan they idolised. When these opposing views met on stage at Newport in 1965 music history was made and the Dylan story begun yet another chapter.
