Since beginning in 1995, Om Records has released many of the most highly respected and accredited dance and hip hop releases in the U.S and has launched many of the most emulated compilations and mix CDs including Om Lounge, Mushroom Jazz, Deep Concentration, San Francisco Sessions, and more.
OM celebrates & supports a broad mix of sounds & DJs from Mark Farina to Afro Mystik, Soulstice & People Under The Stairs OM takes risks, putting out albums by abstract beat-heads Ming & FS, avant- jazzsters Eighty Mile Beach and distinct hip-hop crew People Under the Stairs. They also recognize and help to establish new trends in dance music, be it via the chilled vibes of their Mushroom Jazz & OM Lounge series, the sweet soulful sounds of Terra Deva & Naked Music NYC ( which inspired the creation of the Naked Music record label ) or with the deep and in-demand West coast flavours of the San Francisco Sessions house compilations mixed by some of that city's top DJs.
Through all the artists and collaborations, the Om sound has remained unique and ever current, and OM 100 celebrates this bumpin' diversity in a specially packaged Double Box Set Digipak of NEW and UNRELEASED masterpieces from the Om artist Family.
