Description
Posthumous final studio album from the legendary Memphis piano rhythm & bluesman who recorded for both SUN and CHESS, and whose hits like 'Bootin'' had a profound effect on Jamaican music in the late '50s - an effect which led to the invention of ska music. (No less an authority than Chris Blackwell - founder of Island Records and discoverer of Bob Marley & the Wailers - has gone on record proclaiming Rosco's huge influence on Jamaican music).
Produced by CHRIS THOMAS KING (He of 'O Brother, Where Art Thou?' fame), this is a wonderful piece of piano-driven contemporary blues and of great historical importance.
