s hard to know what to say about a band that boasts members who's CVs include The Hoodoo Gurus, The Beasts of Bourbon, The Hitmen, The Victims, The Fun Things, The Monarchs, The Crusaders and The Thurston Howlers.

For a start The Persian Rugs aren't like any of those bands and these songs aren't cast offs, they're well produced and superbly written slices of garage infused rock n roll.

The Gurus' love of the trash aesthetic goes back many years however, and The Persian Rugs carry on that love affair with a sound that's rich with the teen party stomp of records like The Music Machines' "Talk Talk" or ? & The Mysterions "96 Tears".
