The New Year is upon us and with it comes a swag of great new music! So what better way to celebrate all that is pumping, cranking and thumping than with Clubber’s Guide to 2009 from Ministry of Sound – the ultimate hits package to kick off your New Year!
Not content to give you our usual 2CDs jam packed with tunes, we’ve decided to up the ante with a mammoth 3CD edition – well and truly ensuring that every single hit and soon to be smash is showcased.
Delivering you the mix this year are three of Australia’s most prolific producer/DJ outfits: Stafford Brothers, The Aston Shuffle – alongside Sydney’s own Bass Kleph.
Kicking things off on disc one, the Stafford Brothers (#2 ITM DJ Top 50) deliver all the biggest upfront club hits of the moment. Disc one is loaded with heavyweights, including hits from: Vandalism, Empire of the Sun, The Killers, Lovers Electric, Bodyrox, Roger Sanchez, David Guetta along with a couple of their most recent productions which are set to dominate the club charts and airwaves in the new year…. Trust us, 2009 is going to be the year that the Staffords truly put their names on the map!
Taking you from the front room to the back are none other than Ministry darlings The Aston Shuffle whose disc is rammed with backroom indie jams: with hits from The Presets, Kaiser Chiefs, The Kills, Tiga, MGMT, Santogold and so much more… the Aston boys are a force to be reckoned with after a huge 2008 which saw them invited to play at every major festival: Parklife, Harbourlife and Global Gathering to name but a few… and with their first two single releases going straight to high rotation on Triple J these are definitely a pair to keep your eyes on in the New Year.
Finally we hit disc three as tthe album climaxes on a progressive trance edged tip courtesy of Sydney’s own Vacation Records head honcho Bass Kleph. At a time when everyone’s looking for that recession escapism, disc three offers you the ultimate journey into blissfulness as Bass Kleph delivers some epic tracks from Infusion, John Dahlback, Chris Lake and more.
