Description
Medium Rare consists of unreleased b-sides, vinyl-only tracks, and three new tunes. After a five year hiatus, The Mighty, Mighty Bosstones reunited in December 2007. Dicky Barrett - vocals, Joe Gittleman - bass, Ben Carr -The Bosstone, Joe Sirois - drums, Tim Burton - saxophone, Roman Fleysher - saxophone, Chris Rhodes - trombone and Lawrence Katz - guitar are back with that infectious brand of fun only the Bosstones can deliver. A five night stand in their hometown of Boston sold out in 15 minutes. A NYE show in Rhode Island also sold out instantly. To commemorate the dates, the band released Medium Rare — three brand new songs along with 10 previously unreleased recordings spanning their career. The new song “Don’t Worry Desmond Dekker” held the #1 position on WBCN in Boston for several weeks. An 8-page oral history of the band just ran in Alternative Press.
