Whilst there are elements of Link's previous bands. The pop driven punk of the Meanies and the psych drenched Tomorrow People. The Bakelite Age is a new step forward into new musical territory.

Imagine the quirkiness (but pop sensibility) of the Pixies, the lack of convention of Sonic Youth, the pitch bending excitement of my Bloody Valentine &the guttural growl of Howlin' Wolf you start to get an idea.
