Simon Morley and
David Friend began performing their repertoire of 'genital installations' in Melbourne, Australia. A global phenomenon was born. Puppetry of the Penis has been enjoyed by Bono, Hugh Grant, Joan Rivers, Lulu, Joan Collins, Jackie Collins, Elton John, Tim Rice, Posh Spice, Naomi Campbell, David Beckham and Ruby Wax and toured across Australia, UK, USA, France and Germany.

Tackle Happy - Puppetry of the Penis - A brave documentary film that follows 2 men and their confronting and controversial cabaret comedy show "Puppetry of the Penis" on its first Australian tour.
Puppetry of the Penis began as a highbrow art calendar containing 12 images of genital installations, released in 1997. After 12 of poor sales, it's creator
Simon Morley decided to take the art to the stage in an effort to move a Kombi Van full of stock. His natural choice of partner was a like minded Dick Tricker,
David Friend. Debuting at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in 1998 to critical acclaim, Simon and Friendy decided the rest of the country deserved a chance to enjoy their genitalia, so packed up their lives for a year, and launched on a tour that would change their lives forever. 2 men, 2 dicks and 2 much spare time. Enjoy as this shambolic tour circumnavigates the great brown land Australia, bringing a mixture of cheer, hilarity, and horror to all in its path. Puppetry of the Penis has since gone on to be one of the most successful, confronting, and bizarre theatrical exports of our time. It has had up to eight companies running at one time, has been presented in 7 different languages, and over 20 different countries, the UK, USA, Spain, France, Mexico, Argentina and Europe to name a few. Tackle Happy documents where it all began.
