Description
In November of 2005, Kate Ceberano performed 2 concerts at The Perth Concert Hall with the West Australian Symphony Orchestra.
Armed with the orchestrations of conductor Sean O'Boyle, pianist Aaron Choulai, a hot Perth rhythm section and the samples and saxes of Glenn Reither, Kate performed a vastly eclectic collection of songs. Ranging from the eternal pop classic 'Unchained Melody' through to original songs and contemporary modern gems like 'The Drugs Don't Work'.
The combination of the brilliant WASO with a 'rock' drum and bass section and rhythm samples made for a unique combination and a rare treat for the Perth Concert Hall crowd. Luckily for the rest of us, these shows were recorded and are now released for all of us to enjoy on the new album KATE CEBERANO LIVE with The West Australian Symphony Orchestra. This is a TOTALLY LIVE album, no overdubs or re-recording whatsoever; a true rarity in these days of studio-doctored "Live'' albums.
