Description
Manic Street Preachers release a two-cd collection of b-sides, fourteen cover versions and unreleased rarities. The compilation , entitled Lipstick Traces (A Secret History Of The Manic Street Preachers), mines the Manics' rich seam of flipsides and covers as well as featuring two previously unreleased tracks. 'Judge Y'rself', the last song the Manics wrote as a four-piece, was recorded for the movie soundtrack Judge Dread but never saw a release. The band has recently remixed this track with Dave Eringa (Ash). The other new track, '4 Ever Delayed', was produced by Steve Osborne. Covers include gems such as 'What's My Name' and 'Train In Vain' (Clash), 'It's So Easy' (Guns 'n' Roses), 'Been a Son' (Nirvana) and 'Wrote For Luck' (Happy Mondays), as well as Art Garfunkel, Primal Scream and Chuck Berry covers.
