Description
Here’s a studio project with a difference featuring Graeme Connors as the self- described “guest singer/writer” and the high energy FIDDLER’S FEAST with the amazing multi-bowed talents of Marcus Holden, Clare O’Meara and Mark Oates –It’s a bold concept, but it works a treat – some are all Connors, some are co-writes with the likes of Troy Cassar-Daley, Aleyce Simmonds, Allan Caswell and Melinda Schneider – and really outstanding songs as a result. The fun-filled “Guess Who’s Got Kids” is the first radio single with its reggae feel, but there are plenty of contenders here – the beautiful “Bondwood Boat”, the slow two-stepping “The Facts Of Love” featuring Clare’s collaborative vocals, the superb “So Far So Good”. The diversity of the songs and musical feels is totally refreshing – there is a real spontaneity to the album that speaks volumes for the rapport between Graeme and the Feast –Last Supperteers is truly a 13 track feast that held my complete attention from the entrée to the warm towels with the last song.
