At just 24 years of age Katherine is a household star in the UK. Featuring in not only, the classical media, but also across the tabloids to Hello magazine … no doubt due to her amazing musical achievements and also her stunning good looks.
Born and raised in Wales, Katherine was voted 'The Face of Wales' by the Welsh public. During the Rugby World Cup she was the official Welsh team mascot and was later invited to sing the Welsh National Anthem before her home crowd at the Wales vs. England game at Cardiff Millennium Stadium.
La Diva (titled Second Nature in the UK) was released there in October 2004. The tracks are a collection of her operatic favourites and melodies which are part of her musical lifeblood. The album charted at #1 on the UK Classical Chart and was a Top 20 hit in the pop charts.
Katherine finished 2004 by being named the biggest-selling classical artist of the year in the UK (selling half a million records). Katherine entered the record books when she became the fastest-selling opera singer since Maria Callas.
In January this year Katherine opened the nationally televised Tsunami Benefit concert in the UK, performing alongside Eric Clapton, Keane and Snow Patrol, amongst others. In February, she released her debut single, Time To Say Goodbye and performed a UK tour in March.
Katherine recently won the award for "Album of the Year" at the Classical Brit Awards for La Diva.
Katherine opened the Live 8 concert in Berlin with a performance of "Amazing Grace" which was seen by millions around the world.
