SCOUT NIBLETT is Nottingham, England's answer to all the brash, intelligent and honest women songwriters of America in the early-21st century.

Often compared to CAT POWER and fellow countrywoman PJ HARVEY, Scout (whose real name is Emma) can also stand on her own, with a strong, stark voice and a penchant for songs with just drum and vocals.

‘Kidnapped By Neptune’ is Scout’s third album, featuring 15 new songs, and by far her most accom plished work to date.

Recorded with STEVE ALBINI at his ELECTRICAL AUDIO STUDIO in Chicago, again with Scout’s trademark raw, uncompromising but provocative vocals and instrumentation - the album features Scout on vocals, drums, guitar and piano and gues t musicians JASON KOUKOURNIS (drums, ex-MULE and DELTA 72) and CHRIS SALIGOE (guitars, bass).

Scout is a truly original artist. Her amazingly strong voice has been described as "a fullbodied caterwaul that could rival GILLIAN WELCH, NEKO CASE, and even JOHNNY CASH."

Her live shows rock hard and bring to mind SONIC YOUTH-esque freak-outs but can also be quiet, moody and melancholy.
