Jean Reno (from Mission: Impossible, The Professional) is Thibault, a brave and wealthy count in a 12th-century France, about to marry the love of his life (Christina Applegate - best known for TV's smash-hit series, Jesse and Married With Children). When his fair lady is put under a witch's spell, Thibault seeks the help of the town wizard to turn back time so he can save her.

But instead of going back, the magic propels Thibault and his loyal servant (Christeian Clavier) forward - almost 200 years into the future - to Chicago, where he meets his descendant Julia (Applegate) and her deceitful fiancé. Now these strangers in a strange land must learn about life in the 21st-century, and along the way, they'll teach everyone a few things about love and honour.
