Description
The world's number one DJ, Tiesto, returns from his Olympic Games opening ceremony DJ set to release 'Just Be' (new version) featuring remixes by house don Wally Lopez and Italian trance duo Antillas.
Tiesto needs no introduction, but for people that have been living on another planet for the last couple of years I shall give one. DJ and producer extraordinaire, Tiësto (real name Tijs Vervest), has had a meteoric rise to stardom in the last couple of years on both fronts.
DJ wise, he has released numerous (well-received) mix cd's. Accolades have been coming in thick and fast for him, most importantly courtesy of DJ Mag's top 100 djs poll. Tiësto first won it in 2002, before consolidating his crown a year later. Last year he became the first ever DJ to give a solo stadium concert in front of 25,000 fans, and this year as sen on this months releases also at the closing ceremony of the 2004 Athens olympic games. who said dance music is dying!
Production wise, Tiesto, has been consistent for some time now. Quality tunes have come out under various guises, such as Gouryella, Kamaya Painters and Vimana. Remix wise is where Tiësto has had lots of success, remixing the likes of Kosheen, Moby, Sarah McLachlan and of course Delerium. His debut long player, In My Memory, came out in 2002 spawning huge hits such as Flight 643 and most recently he released the album "JUST BE" from which this is the second single after the massive BT vocaled love comes again.
"Just Be" featuring the vocal stylings of Kirsty Hawkshaw who is probably easily remembered as the ethereal voice from OPUS 3's classic "It's a fine day" is reminiscent of Tiesto's take on Silence, which can only be a good thing.
Tiesto is massive & this single epitomizes Tiësto's much loved sound perfectly & the excellent remixes only serve to strengthen a solid track!
