Brisbane’s favourite purveyors of convict-rock, The Gin Club, are preparing to release their third album, Junk, and to celebrate they’re heading out on the road, along with Melbourne’s next-big-thing Mike Noga & The Gentlemen of Fortune.

The latest offering from The Gin Club, a double CD totalling 26 tracks, was recorded with ARIA Award-winning producer and Australian legend Magoo, and sees the band build on their outstanding depth of talent, broadening some horizons, yet retaining the honesty and grit that have earned them such a loyal following to date.

With an impressive list of live conquests to their name, including tours to New Zealand and Canada, numerous festival appearances and high profile support slots, and thousands of miles chalked up around Australia, The Gin Club have rightfully earned themselves a reputation as one of the country’s best live acts. Their instrument-swapping, bad joke-telling on-stage antics have become the stuff of legend. With up to nine members on stage at a given time, what threatens to be madly chaotic is in fact a beautifully measured and spirited group performance which never fails to impress and is an experience not soon forgotten.

And so, armed with a new collection of songs, The Gin Club is embarking on another Australian tour, this time visiting Hobart, Adelaide, Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney and Brisbane, as well as plenty of regional cities in between. Joining them in the van will be Mike Noga & The Gentlemen of Fortune, a Melbourne supergroup unto themselves, featuring members of The Drones, Dallas Crane, Machine Translations and The Vandas.
