Description
Laura (Sara Wiseman) thinks she is a jinx. People who get close to her have a habit of dying. She thought fleeing to the other side of the world would help. Instead, she developed a serious drink problem. Finding her life unraveling, Laura returns to New Zealand where she discovers that you have to let go of your past in order to embrace your future. Jinx Sister is a 'growing of age' story, a meditation on how the past affects the present. It deals with sibling rivalry, loss, our need for intimacy and the stories we spin that imprison us if we let them.
