Dr Tom Jackman is trying to conceal a dark secret. He has left his beloved wife and twin sons, as well as his position at university without explanation, and hired a psychiatric nurse, Katherine Reimer.

The trouble is, at night, when he is ready for sleep, he receives an unwanted visitor – his antithesis: the charming, playful and wilfully violent, Mr Hyde. Determined to protect his family from his alter ego, he searches for answers to his condition.
As Hyde’s visits become more and more frequent, seemingly brought on by stress and lust as well as sleep, his quest becomes all the more urgent.

But living a double-life is a tricky business, especially when your other half is as alluring as he is fearsome, producing a certain amount of fear and lust-driven loyalty from those who come to know him, which for Jackman brings about a dilemma… Who can he really trust?

Jackman must remain focused if he is to prevent Hyde from taking over and from having blood on his hands.
