Following a five album and seven hit single run as one half of the influential and highly regarded Delaney & Bonnie, former Ikette BONNIE BRAMLETT struck out on her own in the wake of her & Leon Russell’s co-written ‘Superstar’ run to the top of the US charts. After one album on Columbia she signed to the prestigious Capricorn imprint – home of the South’s premier 70’s acts, eg. Allman Brothers, Marshall Tucker etc. Producer Johnny Sandlin indulged her love of R&B, soul and gospel music with the recording of two spectacularly gritty and dynamic albums cut with home grown songs and players from Macon, Georgia and Muscle Shoals, Alabama. With such guest musicians as Gregg Allman, Eddie Hinton, Chuck Leavell, Bobbie Whitlock, Dobie Gray, Mickey Thomas and Barry Beckett, 1974’s It’s Time and 1976’s Lady’s Choice became two of the finest albums in Southern Rock. They are re-presented here with Digitally Remastered sound, detailed notes and commentary from the lady herself.
