Description
Since the Clancy Brothers were one of the most popular acts of the early 1960s folk revival and one of Bob Dylan's primary influences--his folk period has songs lifted directly from the Clancy catalog--think of INTRODUCTION TO THE CLANCY BROTHERS as more of a reintroduction to this talented group of harmonizing Irish expatriates. For the uninitiated, INTRODUCTION is a great primer: many of their wool cable-knitted classics are included, such as the folk tale "Brennan On the Moor," the heartbreaking "Tipperary Far Away," the drunken "A Jug Of Punch," and the rebellious call-to-arms "The Rising of the Moon."
