Description
There have been few bands to erupt so quickly and forcefully into the musical universe as New Zealand brothers Evermore. Their accomplished sounds have swept across radio, television and stages around Australia, New Zealand and the rest of the world, and yet the history of this band of youngsters (vocalist/guitarist Jon is 21, keyboardist/bassist Peter is 19 and drummer Dann is just 17) is relatively unknown…until now.
Into The Ocean contains a 45 minute documentary with exclusive home footage of the brothers Evermore – from their inception in Fielding with their home schooling in isolation, through to setting up a home studio and eventually recording and releasing the incredibly successful debut album Dreams – revealing footage never seen before. Much of the film is actually shot by Evermore themselves, giving a unique perspective into the album’s journey and the growth of the band.
Experience the massive flood-waters during their recording session in Fielding with a rather uneasy Barrett Jones and mesmerising sold out concerts. Awards ceremonies, high school band competitions and Peter wearing a crazy hat – nothing is left out.
The DVD also contains an incredible 70 minute performance of a beautiful evening at Sydney’s famous Metro Theatre, filmed during their massive Night Is Young tour that the band headlined over redsunband, The Panda Band and The Vasco Era. One of the band’s favourite gigs to date, the show encompasses album tracks as well as much loved EP tunes played beneath a stunning light and visual display and in front of an enthusiastic, sold out crowd.
