Description
Following up from last year's hugely successful 'inthemix.05' album (by Tiga and Ajax) comes the 2006 version - and inthemix are thrilled to have the awesome talents of UK DJ and producer Ben Watt (Buzzin' Fly Records, Everything ButThe Girl) as the headline act. Reprising his role as one of deep house's most forward-looking international DJs, Ben will be sharing his modernist underground hits. Expect a unique dancefloor journey through mean and sultry house peppered with warm pulsing minimal techno, off-ramp vocals and taut Berliner beats. His sets have been the toast of the European summer and look set to have just as big an impact here.
The local representative for the CD will be Melbourne's Ivan Gough, one of Australia's most accomplished dance music exports. His work in the studio, both solo and as half of TV Rock, has delivered tracks and remixes that are played by DJs all around the world. He'll be sharing his legendary track-selection skills and impressive crate favourites. Ivan reveals another side of his musical persona (and a move away from the TV Rock sound); this release is an eclectic, classy and altogether unexpected mix.
Artwork by talented Sopp Collective - the same design house who did inthemix.05 and will follow along the same look and feel, and be packaged in gatefold 2 x CD digipack.
