Senatorial candidate John Waylon's (Peter Strauss) political career is smashed to pieces when a scandal emerges concerning his duty in Vietnam. Soon afterwards, his wife disappears and John is forced to reckon with the actions of his past. This made-for-TV movie is based on the novel by Tim O'Brien (THE THINGS THEY CARRIED).
