He co-founded A&M in 1962 which became the world’s biggest independent label.
Some of his greatest successes were “Spanish Flea”, “The Lonely Bull” & “What Now My Love” (which won a Grammy Award in 1966).
“Herb Alpert’s Ninth” went to # 4 on the Billboard Charts.
