The sun, the great depository of light and heat, is as a giant coming forth from his chamber, and rejoices as a strong man to run a race, and beneath his precious influences the wilderness and the solitary place become glad, and the desert rejoices and blossoms as the rose. It is as if there were a resurrection from all the chambers of the dead, except the sepulchres of men; and every breeze bears on its wings millions of newly awakened creatures, to enjoy for their appointed time the elements around.
