Description
Harry Casey and his songwriting partner Rick Finch had minor R&B success with the first couple of outings as KC & The Sunshine Band but hit pay-dirt when their composition Rock Your Baby became a worldwide smash for George McCrae. One of the earliest disco hits, it opened up a whole new audience for dance inspired material, with KC & The Sunshine Band hitting the top of the pop charts with hits such as Get Down Tonight and That's The Way (I Like It). The group could also get mellow with equal effect, again topping the charts with Please Don't Go. Still regular performers on the nostalgia circuit, here are the songs that started the disco revolution.
